Busy busy busy!

These past two months have gone by so fast, working on the mural, working at work, and trying to find time in the one hour I have between work and mural-ing to do my life. I had to faux a huge room at the school so fast, I broke the sound barrier on Saturday so I could take Charlon and Scott to the airport, and my head is still spinning... I am babysitting Charlon's kids while she is in Hawaii this week. Amber has them during the day, I have them after school and at night... so I am sleeping there, and getting as ready for work as I can, and then take the two little ones Cade and Cole to Amber's, then to my house to put work clothes on then dash to work. I don't know how I ever raised five kids. It is so daunting! Thank goodness Hailey and Hannah are there because I couldn't do it without them!

Under the Sea Mural

Brandon was hired to do a Mural at Kid's International Pre-school/Day Care. Since it was such a huge undertaking he hired me to help him.. What fun! I have had a blast even though I have been working all day, I go home and go out to the school and paint until almost midnight or later every night. This has been going on for six weeks now! But as you can see, the results are pretty cool. There will be a grand opening when it is all finished, so watch this post to find out when it will be if you want to come and check it out. Brandon's amazing talent is pretty awesome, and that he trusts me to paint with him is a miracle!

Aaron and K-9 Brett

K-9 Brett gets his vest

DPS had a ceremony last week on August 23rd to honor the new K-9's that are named after Fallen Officers and give them their vests. After Aaron told me he needed to buy K-9 Brett his vest at the cost of $750 I told him I would raise the money to pay for it. $1590 dollars later, we had raised enough money to pay for two dogs vests, K-9 Brett and K-9 Walker. All the money raised was donated through Concerns of Police Survivors, and a big thank you to all who donated generosly to make this possible! Now Brett can protect Aaron, and be protected as well!

Me being interviewed by the media...Yikes!!!!!

Amber said to do this

What is a Narccicist? Amber said to do this so here goes.....My room mate and I : I never had a room mate except for Doogie, and there isn't enough room here to tell about all the stuff we've done....Never in my life have I: Been to Hawaii and I want to go. But not nearly as bad as I want to go to Tuscany. High School was : Back in the day, but when I graduated from Mesa High there were only two high schools, Mesa and Westwood and we hated each other. I was also a hippie. ( an non-drug doing hippie but a hippie nonetheless. When I am nervous: My voice gets all shakey and my bottom lip quivers and my mouth gets all dry.... .My Hair: My best asset, and Amber takes very good care of it. When I was 5 : I was a tom-boy and could ice skate already. When I turn my head left :I get a crink .... I should be : Uh um, well doing something other than this, but hey..By this time next year : I will have gone to Tuscany!.My favorite Aunt is : Aunt Cissie, but she has been gone for like 5 years or something. I have a hard time understanding : Why in the heck when you are in the drive thru at In and Out do they ask the question: "Will you be eating this in the car???" No, I won't be eating this in the car, I will be driving 30 minutes to a nice safe kitchen to eat this. .that is why I am in the DRIVE THRU duh! gosh. My ideal breakfast is : Scrambled egg whites with a little fresh basil thrown in a little parmesean cheese, a side of sliced avacados with lime juice and a heaping pile of blueberries. Really. If you visit my home town : Well my home town is Evergreen Colorado, and if you went there you would never want to leave it is so beautiful. If you spend the night at my house : You will have to watch out for Suki the cat. She doesn't like anyone but Brandon. My favorite blonde(s) is : Oh easy! Amber, Maggie, Lucas, Aki, Aaron, McKay and of course, Hannah Montana. My favorite brunette is: Doogie. The animal I would like to see flying besides birds : A horse. Then I could hop on and get a ride somewhere. I shouldn't have been : Ever introduced to the Twilight Series, because now I am hooked, and totally bummed that it will be fall of 2008 before we get to see what becomes of our beloved Werewolf, Jacob, that dang handsome Vampire Edward, and that exasperatingly lovely Bella. Last night I: Went and sat at Manuel's resturant in Scottsdale for four hours selling COPS stuff, got home at 8:30 and went straight out to the school I am helping Brandon paint (mural style) until 12:30 am. I have been told I look like : Michelle Pfeiffer.... and Lynette Bjorklund (Ashley's Mom) we could be sisters! In high school when Doogie first met me that is who he thought I was! Not Michelle P. but Lynette (then Coleman). If your reading this and you havn't done this before then copy and paste it to your blog and do one yourself!

ECLIPSE

Okay, along with the rest of the free world, I have wrapped myself around the Twilight series and never thought I would come up for air. I finished Eclispe way too fast. I tried reading it bit by measly bit so it would last longer, kind of like eating the best chocolate chip cookie ever, savoring every bite. Okay apparently I gave a little too much away on my last post so I am editing it...... there is just so much about it to tell, and I am telling ya I never thought I would ever get this hooked into a modern day vampire / werewolf story. But it is the bomb, and if you haven't read the books you are missing out. It is better than Harry Potter, better than Lost, better than 24 better than American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Dining with the Stars, reading about the stars. It is way way better. So don't put it off any longer, go and get the books and read to your hearts content.

High School Musical 2 Paaaaaaaarty!

Tonight was the world premiere of High School Musical 2! All of my grand-daughters starting with Miss Hailey came on over to party it on up with Glamma and watch the movie! We had our fill of pizza, cupcakes, candy and pop... no wonder Hailey wanted to go home early! The rest are camped out in front of the T.V. watching every Hannah Montana re-run they can prop their eyes open for! We had a blast!

Emi was out like a light before the movie even started... we woke her up half way through, but she didnt' make it to the next commercial... thank goodness for T-Vo!

Maggie was the second one to hit the deck.... she ate so much candy I thought she would be up until midnight! Sorry Amber, I didn't get a chance to brush her teeth!

Chloe ate the most licorice... or was it Nerds? Maybe it was the Laffy Taffy...

Aki not only knows the words to every HSM song, she can sing it like a professional! Watch out Disney, here is a future star!

The REAL Hannah Montana!

Awwwwwwwwwwww..... how sweet!

A big shout out and many thanks to Corban Tenney of Rival Sports! He made the awesome t-shirts for us! Call him if you need shirts done for any occasion, he rocks! (480-345-9100)
