I got tagged!

I got tagged by my sweet Hailey, so I must participate! These are the rules... you have to write seven facts about you, they can be silly, funny, happy or sad. Then choose seven people (but I don't know seven people) hahah to tag, so we can keep this ball rolling!

Here goes.

1. I guess the greatest thing I can say about myself is that I have 5 children, and almost 14 grandchlidren. They are the joy of my life, my reason for living, all the good stuff. My kids are Charlon Archibald, (she can be seen on her own blog at http://www.8archibalds.blogspot.com/. She is the best mom to 6 kids, beatiful kids I might add, (see blog) and my sounding board for all things, as she is much wiser than me, and my sweet friend I couldn't live without. Her husband Scott is amazing, so smart and computer savy. However, if he sees me coming with that look on my face like I need help he runs like his hair is on fire...

2. Brett is my second oldest and was killed in the line of duty on 3.21.2000 in Page AZ. He was a D.P.S. Officer and was responding to a roll-over accident and was killed in an accident in snowy icy weather conditions. He left behind his wife Nona, and two sons Caleb and Brayden. There isn't enough room here to tell about Brett, and my deep love for him. You can go to http://www.ldscops.com/ to read a story I wrote about him that just about sums it all up. (Click on Police Stories and scroll down to my name.) He was one of a kind, the most noble and best there ever was. His most beautiful wife Nona is doing awesome, and hopefully Hailey the awesome blogger that she is and oldest granddaughter will help her start a blog too!

3. Aaron is my third oldest and is also a D.P.S. Officer serving in Casa Grande on the K-9 Unit. D.P.S. started naming new K-9's after fallen officers in 2006 so Aaron got to name his dog after his brother. Very cool, because now he has a partner who's only job is to help Aaron find drugs, bad guys, and protect Aaron. I know his brother watches out for him, but now he has some help with K-9 Brett. He has a beautiful wife Heidi who is expecting in September, and three kids, Aki who is 8, McKay who is 5 and Emi who is 3. Heidi is a pre-school teacher, and does a wonderful job, and hopefully will somehow find time to start a blog too so you all can see how cute they all are!

4. Brandon is my fourth, and third son. He is not married, still hanging out at home. He has a cat Suki, which is now our cat which is not what I ever wanted to say... that there is a cat at my house. He is an artist, musician, dang good skater and is in the band Leather Boys. He was in the band Before Braille for four years, toured with them and made a few cds which are still out there probably at Stinkweeds. He is also a Ford Model, which he doesn't like to admit but he gets to do random work with them and is in a big ol' fashion show in Scottsdale in August. He is a free spirit, very laid back and funny as heck.

5. Amber is my fifth and second daughter. Her blog can be seen at http://www.rakennedy.blogspot.com/ and she is the most dedicated blogger ever. I don't think a day goes by when she isn't updating her site, and keeping us all in stitches with the antics of her two kids Maggie 3 and Lucas 15 months. She is the best hairstylist that has ever touched my hair, and I am so grateful that she went to beauty school and learned her now famous skills. If you have never had her do you hair you are missing out no matter how great your now hair stylist is. She rocks and is the best! She is also the sweetest person ever, and my baby. Her husband Russell is awesome too, and works his fingers to the bone to be a great provider. I am totally sucking up right now so he won't hate me. It works.

6. I guess I should tell you about Doogie my hot hubbie. Yes, even after all these years, he can still turn a few heads. We have been married so long I forget... nah, just kidding it has been 37 years, and why we haven't been to Hawaii yet is beyond me.

7. I am very involved in community service and find so much joy in serving however I can. I got involved with Arizona Concerns of Police Survivors http://www.arizonacops.com/ and served as Secretary for two years, President for two years, and now am the Executive Director. We help the families of Fallen Officers get through the greiving process and raise money to help get them and the Officers back to National Police Week in Washington D.C. every year in May. I also recently became a Victim's Assistant for the Mesa Police Department. We assist officers on calls where a victim needs help no matter what type of incident or crime may have happened. It is an important part of Law Enforcement, and I feel very priviledged to be involved with them.
I am an office manager for Quest Real Estate, and I love my job. I love to paint, decorate homes, and spend time with my grandkids. Yes, it sounds like I do alot, but hey. If you sit around all you do is vegitate, and I am not into that.. Keep me movin and groovin!

Okay I am supposed to tag some people to do this, so I am going to tag Charlon. Her daughter Hailey is the one running her blog, but it would be cool to hear from her! So do it Charlon!
This is a test
